Pamela J. Farrell, MSW, LCSW
Pscyhotherapist
Pam is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with individuals and groups. She is trained in both Psychodynamic and Relational approaches to psychotherapy and is committed to helping clients work through difficult life transitions, heal from trauma, and improve interpersonal interactions. She also has an interest in working with clients who are struggling with issues of sexual orientation, gender identity, and wishing to increase self-acceptance of their unique and individual sexuality. Pam focuses on personal growth by working with clients to capitalize on their inherent strengths and resiliencies and identifying areas for growth.
While earning her Masters in Social Work from Marywood University, Pam focused her research on developing social work competencies for work with issues of sexual orientation, and presented her paper at several national social work conferences. Working with NASW-NJ, she developed a continuing education conference on sexual orientation and gender identity. Additionally, Pam has presented numerous continuing education programs on topics of diversity, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
Pam has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including Trenton Psychiatric Hospital and the Women’s Trauma Program at Princeton House Behavioral Health. Pam has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she majored in printmaking and sculpture. She is currently a painter and maintains a studio in Hunterdon County.
